New Year News
Hey everyone, and happy new year! I hope you all had fantastic holidays and got to spend time with your loved ones. Our family had a great Christmas, and the break was quite relaxing. Rosie loved having all her peeps home with her! Speaking of Rosie–she’s adjusting to her new life and seems to be fitting in quite well in our home. Her separation anxiety is calming down as she becomes more confident in her surroundings, which is good news for our stuff. She and the cats are struggling to get along, but gradually they’re coming around. However, I have to say that seeing a little cat chase a German Shepherd…

Devils Glen Kindle Promo!
Hey all, I was just informed by my publisher that the Kindle version of Devils Glen will be on a promo beginning this Saturday, December 9th and will run through December 16th, just in time for the holidays. During that week, the Kindle version will be on sale for only .99 cents! Easy gift for any friends or family who are Kindle users. Feels like a million years since my last promo, so this one comes at a great time. The paperback will remain at its currently discounted price of $13.95 throughout December. CROW CREEK UPDATE I’m almost finished with my initial edits of Crow Creek–might be done in a week…

Happy Thanksgiving!
Hello everyone! It’s been a very hectic Fall, but here we are with the holidays upon us. What a whirlwind year it has been, and we still have another month to go! This year we have a lot to be thankful for–from a new book released to a short story published to Michelle’s pinstripe purses selling to Reznor playing football and getting fantastic grades to our Tahoe honeymoon to our brand new dog, Rosie! It’s been a lot of fun, but now we’re exhausted and need some R and R this holiday season. IOWA SIGNING Thanks to all of you who came out for the book signing in October–seems like that was…

The Edge: Infinite Darkness, Bettendorf Signing, and Crow Creek Update
The new horror anthology The Edge: Infinite Darkness was released today. My short story Morgan’s Girl was selected for this collection last Spring, so hopefully it holds its own with the other stories, which I hear are pretty frightening. By the way, as I’m writing this post, Infinite Darkness is already the number four horror anthology on Amazon, behind the likes of Clive Barker and H.P. Lovecraft! Not too shabby. (Actually, it just hit number 1!!!!) Get your copy today—it’s only 3.99 for the Kindle version and 14.99 for the paperback. Check it out here.

Tahoe Trip and Prime Day
Michelle and I finally got to take our honeymoon last month and I have to say it was amazing, though it seriously needed to be longer. Seven days in Lake Tahoe is just not enough–I want to go back now! The scenery was mind-blowing and staying in a cabin on the lake is just crazy fun. The photo above was taken at Sugar Pine Point State Park, which was about ten minutes from our cabin. The water in Lake Tahoe is crystal clear, almost like you’re in Hawaii or the Carribean.

The Real Devils Glen
First, I must thank Dwyer & Michaels and the rest of the people at 97X for the awesome article they posted about Devils Glen last week. I saw an immediate jump in sales as a result. Devils Glen has been gradually rising up the charts. At one point this week it was the 11th hottest new release in Horror/Dark Fantasy on Amazon. Pretty cool! That is all thanks to the wonderful “Quad Citizens” out there telling their friends about it and posting stuff on Facebook, Twitter, etc. And of course, the fantastic reviews on Amazon are great too. I’m humbled. Word of mouth truly has an impact. Keep it up! You can check out…

Author Interview: Lincoln Cole
Hi everyone! Kindle Press is currently running a promotion for all their Kindle Scout titles. Each Kindle version is .99 cents. I thought it would be great to highlight some of the authors whose books were Kindle Scout selections. Today I have the pleasure of interviewing one of the rising stars of Kindle Press, Lincoln Cole. Mr. Cole is an award-winning author who has published several books, all of which are currently available on Amazon, including his Kindle Scout selection, Raven’s Peak, Book 1 of the World on Fire series.

Book Signing, Promo, and Updates
Thank you all for ordering Devils Glen this past week. The numbers so far have been fairly strong, I think, for a debut novel. I couldn’t be happier that people are finally getting a chance to read it. It’s been an exciting week and I’m hoping the momentum keeps building. Also, thanks to those of you who have written reviews on Amazon and Goodreads; those things are very helpful. I appreciate you taking your time to do that. And thanks also for the shares and posts on Facebook, as well as the fantastic word of mouth that’s been generated, recently. It’s been cool to read comments about the book from…

How to Campaign on Kindle Scout
Kindle Scout is a fantastic program and it’s definitely something any aspiring author should consider. Unfortunately, the process is a little confusing when you first get started and there’s some conflicting information out there on the internet, so I thought I’d give my own advice on the subject. Don’t get me wrong…just because Devils Glen won a contract, doesn’t mean I’m an expert. But I think it might be worthwhile for me to give my thoughts and share some tips I picked up along the way.

Devils Glen: Editing and Updates
Hi, all! It’s been a busy new year already. Thankfully, most of it is good stuff, especially concerning the book. My Kindle Scout campaign was a success by every measure, especially the final outcome. I had over 4,000 views on my campaign page and spent almost 75% of the month on their Hot & Trending list. That’s all because of the amazing support I received from all of you.
