Crow Creek Cover Reveal!

DUN DUN DUUUUUUN!!!

Here it is! The new cover for Crow Creek. I think it fits well with the cover of the first book and looks good. It’s kinda creepy but kinda magical too, which works for this story.

CROW CREEK ON KINDLE SCOUT!

Yep, I’m submitting Crow Creek to Kindle Scout, just like I did with Devils Glen. So I will need all your nominations and forwards once again. Now I have to tell you Kindle Press has not been picking up a lot of sequels, so there’s a good chance I’ll wind up just self-publishing the rest of the series, but that’s fine with me.  Submitting it to Kindle Scout will allow me to announce its availability to a broader audience, even if it doesn’t get a contract. Of course, the Scout campaign process takes over a month, so in the meantime, I will continue editing. There’s still work to be done.

I plan to submit the paperwork by the end of this week, so it will probably be available for nominations by next week. I’ll let you know when it’s ready for votes.

BOOK THREE

I’ve already got some notes together, and some chapters are already written for part three, tentatively titled The Woods (or maybe Sunnycrest), though I don’t know exactly when I’ll get back to it. Right now, I’m focused mostly on editing Crow Creek and my narrating side gig. Once I’ve published Crow Creek, I will continue working on a new novel not related to the Bettendorf Tales, which will take me most of the summer to finish. But I already have a good start on book 3, so I hope it will be out around a year after Crow Creek. After that, I plan to take a little break from the Bettendorf series so I can work on a couple of other projects before going back to Jack and Randy and the gang. But don’t worry, I won’t leave you hanging. Book three will wrap up this current storyline. I promise!

AUDIOBOOK

If you don’t already know, the audiobook for Devils Glen is available on Audible and iTunes. Go check it out–I narrated it too. Here in Los Angeles, having an audiobook for the morning and afternoon commutes is a real godsend.

WHAT I’M READING

I am currently reading A Head Full of Ghosts by Paul Tremblay. I just started it, but it’s already pretty spooky, and I’ve heard great things about it. I just finished reading Toward a Truly Free Market, which is an economics book about distributism. If you’re into that kind of thing, it’s a pretty impressive read and worth checking out. In my car, I am currently listening to The Winter People by Jennifer McMahon. It’s a neat little supernatural mystery. A great listen on Audible or iTunes. What are you reading? Tell me in the comments

SHOCKWAVES PODCAST

I have to do a shoutout for Shockwaves Podcast, which I listen to every week. It’s a show devoted to horror movies hosted by four people from LA who are actively working in the industry. It’s great if you’re into the genre and looking for new scary flicks to watch. Highly recommended for all horror geeks out there!

OK, that’s it for now. Keep a lookout for my Kindle Scout announcement within the next week or so! Also, let me know what you think of the cover in the comments.

I just clicked on CROW CREEK among my Saved Books on Kindle Scout, but instead of seeing the excerpt, the page was missing. What happened?

Hi there! So sorry but I have withdrawn the book from Kindle Scout. They’re going through changes, so I felt it best to handle it myself.
