Happy Thanksgiving!
Hello everyone! It’s been a very hectic Fall, but here we are with the holidays upon us. What a whirlwind year it has been, and we still have another month to go! This year we have a lot to be thankful for–from a new book released to a short story published to Michelle’s pinstripe purses selling to Reznor playing football and getting fantastic grades to our Tahoe honeymoon to our brand new dog, Rosie! It’s been a lot of fun, but now we’re exhausted and need some R and R this holiday season.
IOWA SIGNING
Thanks to all of you who came out for the book signing in October–seems like that was six months ago! We had a nice turnout and sold almost all of the books I brought with me. It was a lot of fun hanging out with old friends down at Sports Fans Pizza in Bettendorf and getting to speak at St. Ambrose and Bettendorf High School. And of course getting to be at my nephew’s wedding was the icing on the cake!
KINDLE PROMO
I was informed the other day that Devils Glen is getting a promo from Kindle Press for the first couple weeks of December. The Kindle version will be on sale for only .99 cents! That’s a perfect time to give one to someone who owns a Kindle or reads on the Kindle app. The sale is supposed to begin on Friday the first and run through the fifteenth.
CROW CREEK
I’m still hard at work editing Crow Creek and still shooting for a March release. When you’re working on a series, there’s a ton of little details you’ve got to pour over to make sure you do not forget something that happened on page 189 from the first book. So far, the process is going just fine, and I hope to have it to my beta readers within the next couple of weeks. I’m happy with the direction of the story, but it’s always nice to have an outside opinion. Stay tuned!
MEET ROSIE!
Yes, that picture above is our new German shepherd, Rosie. She was a rescue from West Side German Shepherd Rescue in Los Angeles, and she’s the sweetest thing ever. She came to us with a severe case of kennel cough, so we’ve nursed her back to health over the past couple weeks, and now she’s doing much much better. She was sick and very depressed for a while there, but she seems to be enjoying getting to know us–and cozying up on our bed!
Westside German Shepherd Rescue is a fantastic place to get a dog if you’re in the market for one. Look them up online–click on the link above!
MICHELLE’S PINSTRIPING
Michelle has been pinstriping super cool purses and men’s wallets–and she is now selling them on her Etsy page just in time for the holidays. You can check out her page here. If you see one you like, contact her ASAP because they’ve been selling pretty fast.
Happy Thanksgiving!
I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and you get to spend it with the people who matter most in your life. I know I have so much to be thankful for, so I plan to enjoy my day and make the most of every minute. Cheers!
